How does a student receive addition quality points?
· Student brings a valid transcript from the college that they choose to receive college credit to Ms. Elmore. · Makes written request to receive quality points. Please be advised that application packets must be completed within 10 school days after course grades and end-of-year college exam grade are finalized. It is recommended that the forms are downloaded and partially completed in anticipation of a student meeting the eligibility requirements to expedite the process. How does a student become eligible for credit at RIT? To qualify for credit at RIT, students must earn a stanine score of 6 or higher on the end-of-year college exam (6 equals a C; 7 equals a B; 8 and 9 equal an A). Since Northwestern High School is a PLTW certified school any student who meets the following criteria may receive college credit. · The student has earned a class grade of A or B in the PLTW course · Students who earn a A in the course must score an 7 or higher on the EOC exam.
